Hillary for Vice President

By jdinsmore

Today on Stephanopolus’ show, Hillary was asked about appearing on the dream ticket. She said she would help the Democrats win in whatever capacity. That’s a not so subtle way of saying she would take the VP slot if offered.

Put Hillary on the ticket Barack. Do it now.

For Barack, the only thing that can derail his candidacy is a divided Democratic party. Yes, she has high negative numbers. Yes, the republicans will have a field day with her on the ticket. Yes, there has got to be at least a little bad blood (probably a heck of a lot more than that).

None of that matters. Winning heals all wounds and a united democratic party would coast to victory.

For Hillary, her legacy would be incredible. Instead of being viewed as divisive, she would be the healer of the party. As Vice President, she would be historic, both as the first female VP and as the person who got national health care passed. In 2016 she would be 68–no spring chicken, but certainly young enough to run again.

For Barack he would have a first rate attack dog and ally that would help him remain above the fray.

I began to think in the middle of this campaign that I hated Hillary. I don’t. I just [my candidate] hate running against her.

Do it now and send republian donors, pundits and boosters packing before they even really get started.
